2017 Summer Update

This small town community cafe is made possible because of your prayers and financial support. I need to thank all the volunteers for giving time, and our donors for the financial generosity they show whether it’s a gift to help the homeless or just a family who gives a monthly $10 donation. Thank you!

And, I need to thank those business, civic groups, non-profit clubs, schools, restaurants, churches, and individuals who donate food and supplies to fill our pantry so we can freely feed the hungry teens and adults in Medina. Our efforts to serve the community and provide a safe, fun place for youth continues. Please know that everyday lives are being fed and encouraged and hope is being proclaimed.

Cups started a scholarship fund through the Medina City Schools Foundation. Our community service scholarship recognizes a student who volunteered their time with a non-profit organization and learned something about their community and themselves in the process. Our 2017 recipient is Annemarie Guta. We are accepting donations for this fund. If you’d like to give money to help a student go to college, make a check payable to Cups Cafe and write “Scholarship Fund” in the memo. thanks for your consideration.

Homeless Help

Cups was blessed with a few financial donations designated to help individuals and families facing homelessness this past winter. We spent $3,200 on 17 separate cases. It was a blessing to be able to help out these 38 people (including families with children) in their time of need. If you’d like to be part of helping the homeless, please consider sending in a financial donation for this cause. Earmark your gift “Homeless Help” and we will deposit it into our Mercy checking account for next winter.
